SURE Broadband Film

Cable and Wireless have completed their re brand in Guernsey and are now known as SURE following on from their launch in Jersey in 2006. They will also be operating under the same brand in the Isle of Man very soon..
SURE commissioned Spike to produce a film showing the benefits of broadband to encourage those still on “dial up” to see how it can add to their internet experience and open up lifestyle opportunities that aren’t available on slow speeds. We decided to show how the internet is used in one home focusing on booking holidays, listening to music and playing computer games with people around the world. The film can be extended as the product offering increases which means it has a longer shelf life, and added value to the client.
Director Liam Le Guillou explains the thought process behind the film.
“What we were trying to show is how the internet has now become a life tool for so many people and the great practical and fun uses it provides. We had to bring the internet to life by visualising the data stream which we did by adding in a graphic based on the Sure brand. This was shown on screen as the data moving from one computer to another through the house and was added on in post production by in house graphics expert James O Garra”
Producer Warren Mauger says the relationship the Production Company has with Sure is a very positive one and he believes that Spike help add value to their communications;
“The commissioning of this film is part of the continued relationship we enjoy with the Cable and Wireless Sure brand, they see the value and power in creating well placed films and we enjoy working with their team. We have a lot of expertise in the Web TV and IPTV marketplace and feel this has a good synergy with Sure as they drive forward”.
