Now in its 5th year Frieze attracts galleries from every continent and is a showcase for the most controversial contemporary art.

Spike Productions were commissioned to film engaging content for The Art Newspaper who recently launched an online version of the art industry’s only worldwide weekly publication. In a move that echo’s the mainstream printed press’ move away from print to online the paper hopes to grow it readership from 30,000 to 250,000 in the first year.

Whilst conducting interviews in the Deutsche Bank VIP area at Frieze, Spike Productions filmed such art world luminaries as Alan Yentob, Tracey Emin, Jake & Dinos Chapman and Jay Jopling.

Producer Chris Clifford also secured an interview with Jersey’s most successful living artist Jason Martin whose paintings are in numerous institutional and private collections around the world.

Chris said, "As somebody who has a strong interest in contemporary arts it was a privilege to rub shoulders with the worlds leading players in the market. What initially seemed like a daunting prospect quickly became a greatly enjoyable occasion as we learned about the motivations of collectors, dealers and artists who are helping to shape the market and history”.

In a move that cements Spike Productions position as the leading production company in the Islands, agreements have been reached for filming at the world’s four largest art fairs over the coming months in Miami, New York, Dubai and Moscow.
