The King George the Fifth Playing fields are the last of their kind in the British Isles. They were set up after the death of the King but most have now been claimed as building sites and are no longer used for sports activities. Guernsey’s playing fields though provide facilities for the entire community spanning Sporting clubs, disabled groups and educational needs catering for every age from infants to the more mature.
The committee are embarking on an ambitious development programme costing around two million pounds and needed a film to show how important this was for the community. The film conveys the history of the club and hears from the users about how vital this development is.
